Lena’s work is very beautiful. Her choice & combination of colour together with her application of paint produce a painting with a very specific energy of its own.
The more vibrant, abstract, Pollock style, paintings are full of movement yet also structured and balanced. Although, visually the work can seem like chaos, the energy that comes with these paintings is of strength, power, clarity, and a focused, direct & masculine energy. The viewer, if he/she wishes is open to receive this energy through the painting. A gift, which is kindly, offered from the artist as an open invitation to all who view her work.
The landscape & seascapes consist of a melody of beautiful colours applied in graceful flowing movement, which results in paintings full of peace, calm & tranquillity. And the real magic in Lena’s work is that again the viewer is invited to experience the energy of the painting. Its almost like the viewer can submerge into the peace of nature in all its beauty.
You could say that each painting has a particular energy of its own and also a message to give!
Irish Fine Art, Dalkey
I get daily pleasure from your art in my house…
Erica McKinney, Aughrim
What is really important in a painting, in any work of art actually, is the expression of the Divine spirit. I feel and see it in your paintings. Even a good painting that lacks that, is just a visual comment on some aspect of internal or external reality of the painter, but not art. I dont really care if it’s “good” or “bad” in human terms if it lacks the spiritual content that gives it Life. Art is when a painting speaks to you and looks at you, and hugs you – like your paintings.
